Outfit of the Week – 11/16/2020

Welcome to my “outfit of the week.” Every once in awhile, I’m loving an item or outfit that I put together. Check-in to see the latest upload of an outfit that I’m just feeling myself in. These outfits and pictures will be “real life” – no photoshoots, no amazing backgrounds, no filters (and probably on more than one occasion, no makeup).

When I was a teenager, I had the body of a twig and could wear anything that I wanted. Then all of a sudden that changed and buying jeans as a woman has been one of the worst things in the world. I have a bit of a booty and thick thighs and calves. Sometimes I grab a pair of skinny jeans to try on and can’t even get them over my calves! (It’s pretty embarrassing). For years, I’ve tended to size up in jeans one to two sizes bigger to find something that is comfortable on my legs and butt, but this generally means the waist has several inches of spare fabric. I can either wear a belt and bunch it up or not wear a belt and let my pants fall down constantly (neither is a great option).

Very recently, though, I was introduced to a new brand of jeans that – get this – are made for women with bodies more like mine! The site advertises that these jeans are “Designed with the intention to lift you up, hold you in, and hug your every curve. Our jeans empower every Woman, size 00-24. Bonus: They make your butt look incredible, too!” I grabbed my “normal” jeans size and I’ll be damned, they were actually too big on me. I was able to get the next size down and they fit my body so perfectly, it was like they were made for me.

So this post is dedicated solely to Good American jeans that are made for my other lady friends with curves like mine! Do yourself a favor and go try on a pair if this has been your struggle.

Hope you love them as much as I do!

They weren’t lying…

Pin for later!
