When I bought my condo, one of the most exciting things for me was the chance to renovate and make it my own. While house hunting, I was looking for something that hadn’t be updated much and found the perfect gem that was built in 1987 with minimal changes since then.
Here is the monstrosity that was my new home. Cue good ole’ dad coming to the rescue. We talked through all of my hopes and dreams and nearly gutted it, rebuilding with what I wanted from the ground up. I truly do have Pinterest to thank for all of the awesome ideas and was just mad I didn’t have more house to renovate. I painted and organized and decorated and glitterized (see here) and slowly turned this baby into my own. It’s pink and gold and silver and mint and everything I love so dearly.
Let me hit you up with some before photos…
Construction time!
The construction consisted of ripping up floors and carpet, countertops, doors, and trim. Trashing the old vanities and toilets and getting rid of those god awful medicine cabinets. Fixing doors and building shelves. Painting everything. Adding a mantle, a built-in bookcase, and crown molding in every room, plus new backsplash in the kitchen and tile around the fireplace. Replacing said floors, carpet, countertops, doors, and trim. It was a lot and it was glorious. Better yet, it was ALL ME.
The finished product <3
I couldn’t wait to move in after everything was completed. With a little more help from Home Goods, Hobby Lobby, Amazon, TJ Maxx and of course, Pinterest, I was able to turn my new house into my dream home!
Congratulations on your new condo. The renovations are gorgeous! I love the links and greens you chose. Everything is so bright and fresh looking.
Thank you so much ☺️
